Hi! I'm David Wood. With over 30 years of music studies--from clarinet, to gamelan, marching band, drums, bass and 6-string guitar--and over 20 years of live music performance and line show/production experience, I am excited to offer friendly and accessible music lessons to beginner and novice guitar students.

I do not focus on sheet music and theory- if you lose interest because it's too overwhelming or seems too hard, music theory is of little value! Instead I focus on flaming the fire of interest by getting each student playing songs they already know, to get past those first hurdles that stop so many from their musical dreams and goals.

My house or yours! Conveniently located near downtown Grand Junction, CO in the Spring Valley neighborhood, I have a quiet office to focus on your musical journey. I offer a free introductory lesson so that we evaluate if it is a good fit for student and teacher.
